When the band was passing Milemarker 26 in the SW corner of Utah on I-15 south of St. George in a storm, lightning struck the mountain and it caught on fire before our eyes. The next time we passed that same Milemarker 26 was in a blinding snow storm at night with 6 inches of snow on the ribbon of ice highway & snow flakes so big we had to turn off our headlamps to see the road because the reflection was so bright. The 3rd time past the same Milemarker 26 the van's timing gear finally gave out and we were stranded penniless in St. George, Utah for 3 days while the engine was being rebuilt, living on one single pizza some cool employees of the local pizzeria gifted us and Dave had a serious eye infection. It was some type of sign the universe was sending us repeatedly; so this is a bleary eyed instrumental that accompanies the all night red eye van driving life on the highway and named in honor of that mile marker. Our trials and tribulations there at that signpost was significant enough to warrant it's homage as our album title and also a groovy instrumental tune we used to play at the very very end of a long night's set to send the crowd home satisfied after last call.
